CCO Patient Orthodontic Treatment in The Entrance
We want to share with you the Orthodontic journey of our 15-year-old patient from The Entrance.
He and his parents were concerned about the gaps in his upper front teeth, lower crowding and an underbite. An underbite is a dental condition where your lower teeth extend farther than your upper teeth. Usually, it results from a misalignment of the jaw.
His parents were very aware of the problems an underbite can cause; that’s why they decided to bring their child to Central Coast Orthodontics.
Underbites are more than a basic cosmetic issue. They can cause problems with your teeth and jaw. In severe cases, a person may even have trouble speaking properly. An underbite can cause wear and tear on your front teeth, making them more prone to chipping or breakage. A person with an underbite may also struggle with chewing food when your jaw isn’t aligned properly.
After a thorough orthodontic assessment, we decided to have him undergo Invisalign treatment to correct the bite problem.
